The gales of November are infamous for causing many a ship to sink on the Great Lakes. Well, you would have never guessed that was true this weekend! Sunny skies and the temperature reaching into the low 70s easily beckoned us out to our favorite nature walk. Rosy Mound (affectionately called Rosy Mountain by the kids as at times it feels as if you are climbing a mountain) is a mile hike through wooded dunes to the lake. Taking in gorgeous views, dipping our feet in the numbing water, and wading through ankle deep leaves made for a memorable way to spend this incredible day. The only evident November gale on the shore this day was a very active 3 year old by the name of Lilyana Fu Su. :) Poor Max had to spend the afternoon preparing for a choir concert later in the afternoon. We missed our boy!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe we've had such lovely weather. The beach was a great idea this weekend! I can't believe that your little one is getting SO big. She looks like such a big girl.
ReplyDeleteyes, tuck it away, and remind me of it some snowy day in january... just one more reason to live on the lake shore:)
