Welcome Summer!

We spent the Memorial Day weekend close to home enjoying the simple and oh so important things in life...family, food, sun, a parade, and the ever popular slip and slide. It made us very anxious to be done with school. The countdown is on...8 1/2 very busy days to go!! :)

Hmmm...

Max gave Lily a bath all by himself for the first time a couple of night's ago. I'm not so sure that it will be happening again real soon! Just kidding...they had a ball! :) Thanks and great job bud!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Over the years, we've had every intention to head down to Grand Haven State Park (10 minutes from our house mind you) to take in the Great Lakes Kite Festival, but haven't quite made it...until today that is! I can't believe we've missed out on this every year! It was quite a chilly day, but not at all as miserable as I thought it might be on the beach. We planned on staying for maybe an hour at most, but three hours later we were still enjoying the sun, sand, and beautiful kites. The kids even got in on the action by flying a kite of their own, and of course we had to buy one to add to our collection. Anyone want to move to Grand Haven?? :)

And the Oscar goes to...

Max played the part of Pharaoh in his school musical Thursday night. He was awesome and a very believable Egyptian...blonde hair and all. :) He thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, especially his costume! I believe our boy may have a future on the stage. You should have seen the quality of his death scene! :)
