We've tried for countless years to find Max's sport...one that he's passionate about...that he practices without prodding...that he thoroughly enjoys. He's been such a trooper as we've signed him up for soccer, tennis, (not football:)), basketball, swimming, etc. Tolerated these? Yup! Loved these? Nope! Well I think we finally hit pay dirt...Tae Kwon Doe. He's been going every Wednesday night since January and is really doing well. Just last Wednesday he tested for his first belt and passed with flying colors. We just may have a black belt on our hands sometime in the coming years! Oh, and too bad Lego building isn't an Olympic sport, as he would be a budding gold medalist. :)
Well, let me just say that Matt did this as a boy and even went to the Junior Olympics with it. How do I know this? Because I hear about his "glory days," including forms (little Tae Kwon Do lingo for you there Max) all the time. And mind you he did this back in Junior High School and would probably say that meeting me the first day of college was what ended his "career." Ha! Well congrats on your purple belt Max and should you ever need inspiration, you just contact Matt as I am sure he would be more than happy to pull out his old medals to show off. The good Lord knows I have had to look at them. HA! Well congrats and good luck. And that luck extends to your future wife. :-) Very proud and happy for you!
